Funeral Services for Franklin Williams, 71, a Hereford resident, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Parkside Chapel with Pastor Randy Johnson, pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Williams passed into the next life on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in Amarillo.

Franklin Williams was born August 27, 1945 in Davilla, Texas to late Charlie and Agnes Williams. He was one of among 12 children. He attended school in Cameron Texas and he graduated from Rockdale Texas High and later enlisted into the Navy in January 16, 1967. He met and married Joyce Brown on August 27, 2006 in Hereford. Franklin had worked at Kings Manor for 30 years, and he loved to fish and cook.

He leaves his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Alicia Corker and husband Edward of Amarillo, Elizabeth Stotts of Amarillo; a son, Cody High of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Vernel Williams of Compton, California, James Howard Williams, Jerry Eugene Williams both of Davilla, Texas; three sisters, Annie Mae Roberson of Liberty, Texas, Julie McCullough, Gloria Diane Williams both of Davilla, Texas;7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Agnes Williams; two brothers, Charlie Williams Jr. and Elbert Williams; two sisters Charlesetta Williams and Velma Lee Phifer; four nephews, and two great nieces.
