Funeral Services for L. J. Clark, 92, a long-time Hereford Resident, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Kevin Bushart, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Clark passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at West Gate Nursing Home in Hereford.

Lee Jacob Clark was born July 3, 1925 in Canyon, Texas to Ernest Britton and Lela Lorena Roberson Clark. He raised and farmed in Summerfield, Texas. He served his county proudly during WWII with the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed in the South Pacific. L.J married Wilma Jean Roberson on June 5, 1947 and shared 68 wonderful years of marriage.

Mr. Clark worked for the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation as an Engineer for 37 years. He was a Mason at Hereford Lodge #849 for 50 years. Member of the Khiva Shrine in Amarillo and past President of the Hereford Shrine. Member of the American Legion and VFW. Member of the Hereford Lions Club and Past Boss Lion. Past Board Member of Hereford Senior Citizens Past President and Umpire and Chief of Hereford Little League Association.

Those mourning his passing are his wife, Wilma of Hereford; one son, Scottie Lee Clark of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Lanna Kay Clark of Rainsville, Alabama.
