Funeral Services for Martha Mae Shelton, 88, a long-time Friona resident will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Friona with Reverend Kathy McLean-Davis, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Trenton, Texas, and Reverend Skip Hodges, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Friona Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Shelton passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 in Amarillo. There will be a viewing Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Friona.

Martha Mae Green was born August 18, 1929 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Jess L. and Bertha M. (Barnett) Green. Martha graduated from Snyder High School in 1947 and from St. Anthonyís School of Nursing in Oklahoma in 1950. In 1952, Martha married Tom Pruett in Poteau, Oklahoma they later moved to Friona, Texas in 1955 from Snyder, Oklahoma. She worked at Parmer County Community Hospital and as Dr. Paul Springs nurse at the clinic for 40 years. Martha married Ralph Shelton in 2000. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Friona.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Tom Pruett and Ralph Shelton; and one brother, Elbert Green.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Randolph and husband Tom from Friona, and Priscilla Chrysler and husband Don of Amarillo; her twin sister, Ellen Fae Greenwood of Maryland; two grandchildren, JíMae Randolph of Lubbock and T.J. Randolph of Austin; and three great-grandchildren, Konnor, Kynzlee Mae, and James.

The family suggests Memorials be made in Mrs. Sheltonís honor to the First United Methodist Church of Friona, 301 E. 8th St. Friona, Texas 79035.
